Skin Gym, maker of luxury beauty tools, is beloved by celebrity fans from Hailey Bieber to Bethenny Frankel. Its top-selling facial roller and gua sha have been available at Ulta, for years. Now, the brand is flexing skincare muscle with a new line of Workout Face Serum Sticks. The cruelty-free sticks launched in mid-October in the UK in Boots stores nationwide and online.

After a blowout launch on its website, having sold out, Skin Gym anticipates a replenishment in stock in the next day or so with a US launch into Macy’s and Urban Outfitters come December. The skin care range will also be available at Revolve in the coming months.

Workout Face Serum Sticks

Skin Gym’s new skincare range features Workout Face Serum Sticks – hyaluronic acid, collagen, Vitamin C and retinol. The sticks, which retail for $22 each, can be swiped on-daily over the entire face to instantly combat dryness to yield a dewy, soft complexion.

“We are so excited to offer our face serum sticks also known as our ‘workout sticks’ for every skincare concern – Vitamin C, retinol, hyaluronic acid and collagen – whatever your concern is, we have it covered,” Sulzer told HAPPI. “These innovative face serum sticks is something we have been working on for a while and are so excited about our launch. They are made with effective, clean ingredients and they are mess-free with easy-on-the-go application. We love to bring clean and effective skincare at an affordable price.”

The hyaluronic acid stick aims to increase skin's water content to soothe and plump up a dry, irritated complexion. Packed with Vitamin C and eggplant fruit extract, this stick brightens skin's appearance while peppermint oil calms inflamed skin and sunflower seed oil prevents water loss for intense moisture. For optimal results, the brand encourages a spritz of water or hydrating toner over the face to boost the stick’s humectant properties. It can also be used under makeup for a dewy look.

The hydrolyzed collagen stick helps smooth skin’s texture and visibly softens the complexion for a plump, healthy appearance, the brand says. Packed with neem leaf extract to clear the look of blemishes, squalane to soothe inflammation, and shea butter and moringa seed oil to add a burst of hydrating moisture, the Collagen stick is a perfect solution to nix extra dry areas of the face that could use a water retention boost throughout the day.

The retinol face serum stick is powered by age-defying ingredients that visibly smooth and firm with a simple swipe once-daily. Formulated with encapsulated retinol and bakuchiol – hero ingredients that help improve the appearance of fines lines – the concentrated serum combines the hydrating and firming power of squalane and peptides to yield youthful-looking skin.

The Vitamin C stick works to brighten and protect with a blend of ascorbic acid and niacinamide to help improve the look of uneven tone, texture and pigmentation while defending the skin against pollution. The high-potency formula delivers anti-aging benefits and “unrivaled” brightening effects for the “ultimate fresh-faced and radiant glow,” per the brand.

Made in Tinseltown

Skin Gym’s founder, Karina Sulzer, was born in Ukraine and moved to the US at just 7 years old. Having lived in Hollywood with a bloodline of estheticians, she was heavily immersed in the beauty scene her whole life. Equipped with the knowledge, “skincare is self-care” she also learned that the best beauty methods should be widely accessible and easy to use – an ethos that would become her brand’s motto. While Skin Gym products – launched in 2017 – are available at luxury spas, Sulzer, who has a background in advertising and licensing, feels it isn’t necessary for consumers to overspend on weekly spa visits to look and feel good. It’s a prerogative she feels can be easily attainable in the comfort of home (like a home gym) with the brand’s new Workout Face Serum Sticks.
